New Skills, New Enemies, Dodge Rework & A Pile of Fixes
New shrine skills
Spectral Bow — Summons a spectral bow follower that shoots nearby enemies. You can have up to 3 followers total from all follower skills.
Napalm — Your projectiles and followers can proc burn on hit. Each additional pick increases burn damage.
Toilet Brush — Your projectiles and followers can proc poison on hit. Each additional pick increases poison damage.
Magic Missile Overload — Extra picks increase missile damage; Split Shot adds rockets per volley.
Body Odor — Unlocks a toxic aura around you. Enemies inside take damage each tick and can be poisoned; stacks increase radius and damage.
New enemies
The Grasslands horde has more variety as a run goes on — not just more bodies, but different threats with different kits.
Horde (wave spawns)
Early
- Battle Bee — Fast, armored pest that mixes melee and ranged pressure.
- Goblin and Goblin 2 — Two goblin variants in the opening pool so early waves aren't one-note.
Mid-run (once you've leveled a bit)
- Armored Goblin — Tanky bruiser with heavy armor.
- Skeleton, Skeleton 2, and Skeleton 3 — Skeleton variants that roll in as the run heats up.
- Rock Golem — Rare heavy spawn. Slow, armored, and throws rocks and stone walls when it closes in.
Late-run
- Goblin Warrior and Goblin Warrior (M) — Big health pools and hard-hitting melee. You'll feel these when the timer is winding down.
Timed minibosses
Three named bosses hit the map on a schedule during a run:
- Big Chunck (~2 min) — Rock throws that knock you back, plus spike walls that cut across your lane.
- Diabeetus (~6 min) — Acid bullets, acid spit, and spike walls.
- Baal'Zak (~12 min) — Fireballs, meteor showers, and rock bursts. The late-run checkpoint before the end.
Burn & poison got a pass
Status effects were tightened up:
- Burn — Short burst based on enemy max HP.
- Poison — Longer, stackable damage over time.
Level-up picks Dutch Oven and Unlicensed Doctor increase burn and poison chance on your hits. The in-run stats panel now shows Burn Chance and Poison Chance.
Slide is gone. Dodge is in.
The old slide mechanic is out. Left Ctrl (or Control) is now a dash:
- Burst in the direction you're moving — or forward if you're standing still
- Damages enemies you pass through
- Dodge animation only plays when you're actually moving
Dash collision was tightened so you're less likely to clip through walls or lose the whole move on a ramp.
Wrath of God — lightning strike interval now decreases as you stack the skill.
World & UI quality-of-life
- Charge shrine arrow on your character points toward the nearest charge shrine and hides when you're already in range.
